Autonomous cars are discussed as solution to many of the world’s mobility challenges: They promise to be safer, more efficient and to reduce traffic. But how will we use them? And what happens if we all use them?
We have developed an interactive workshop that fosters the discussion around these questions. In this workshop, we investigate how people move at the moment and how they might move in the future. We feed this data in a system dynamics model that creates scenarios which show what might happens if everybody behaves like the audience. This leads to insights about intended and unintended consequences of the introduction of this technology - and fosters the discussion about possible goals the society wants to achieve with this new technology.
